They have also been at the exciting frontier of the new social media. While some more dubious outfits have claimed to have guarantees of success, ‘silver bullets’ to the dilemmas of search engine optimisation, is that really so much worse than coming up with concepts like dark flow?

Perhaps as the SEO sector matures, its reputation will continue to improve. The firms which are more black hat than grey hat may gradually become victims of their own short term outlook.
