Likewise, backlinking from a spam site may mark your site as spam by proxy. Irrelevant anchor text in back link makes it valueless too. Try to create back links from high quality sites, even if they are fewer in number.

Freshness is an important factor to the search engines. Search engines determine the quality of your site by calculating the frequency of update. Try to add something to your site in on a regular basis, such as thorugh a blog, making it relevant and interesting, and making use of social networking sites is increasingly worthy.
